The birth of B9565AW
Z-fold chart paper was first invented by Japanese Yokogawa, and it is also the first kind of z-fold chart paper in the world. It was come to mind by Mr.Arima, the development manager in Japanese Yokogawa. It was inspired by the Buddhist normal scriptures "Ching" shape. 

Chart paper can let users check the data when they are using the recorder for recording data. In the field of industrial automation, such as power plants, chemical plants and so on, it plays a revolutionary role in the process of monitoring the number of records. By the 1970s, chart paper had been widely used in a lot of recorders in Japan, becoming the standard of global producer of recorders instrument manufacturers.

In 1985, Japanese Yokogawa introduced a first recorderμR100, combining microprocessor with a pen. It has a standard size of 14x144mm. The microprocessor of µR100 can receive automatic linear signal from thermocouple or RTD (resistance temperature detectors) sensor, which can display the input signal scaling, converted physical values, histogram and numerical data on a built-in LCD screen. It also enables drawing the printout of measurement data, unit, time, measure and other data on a recording sheet.

It can be said that there will be no international success of pen recorder µR100 without z-fold chart paper B9565AW. B9565AW is jointly developed by Japanese Yokogawa Electric and KOKUSAI. The application of Z-fold chart paper can make the operator see the recording data at any time during the process of recorder measurement. Since then, B9565AW is the only recording paper recommended for applying in the recorder of 100mm Yokogawa effective recording length (µR100,µR1000,µR10000,µRS1000). B9565AW is now the standard in the industry, but also the world’s most widely used recording paper.
